West Point Lighthouse
Situated on the park’s western edge, the West Point Lighthouse dates back to 1881. The picturesque lighthouse is a favorite for photographers and history enthusiasts. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the beach, where you’ll be surrounded by coastal scenery, including driftwood-lined shores and ocean views.
North Beach and South Beach
These two beaches are popular for beachcombing, picnicking, and views of Puget Sound. North Beach is known for its quiet atmosphere and proximity to the lighthouse, while South Beach is a bit livelier, with ample space for picnics and tidal pools.
The Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center
This Native American cultural center is a cornerstone of Discovery Park’s identity. It’s home to Native art exhibits, cultural events, and community programs. Built in the 1970s by the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, the center celebrates Indigenous culture and offers educational programs for visitors.
